I like the link mounts 2" below tge frame for better angles better ride better control. I find no issues getting through rocks with lower bars sliding over rocks.

Its super easy to ream knuckles and fab steering materials also arent super exspensive so im un sure what your hold up on doing it is.
The wj knuckles only purpose in life was to give xjs a superd inexpensive crossover steering.
That is why i said id steer clear of the currect link stockish steering.
The wj steering will hands down walk allover it on the street offroad it doesnt care.

Ive found track bar length not to matter. Yes i did attempt to outboard my track bar as much as possible.
Fabbed my own brack set Parralell to drag link. Length just isnt critical but yes longer is maybe better but may also be worse since drag link isnt pivoting from same point out side tge...
For what its worth i did outboard my track bar similar to pictured above. No tire clearance issues. I was attempting to make it same length as track bar.
Ive since decided it doesnt much matter if its same length since its arc isnt pivoting from the same arc point as the drag link.

I bought the 1ton reamer and have gotten lots of use out of it.
My track bar i pushed slightly forward for clearance. Im running 2" wide. There are narrow misalignment spacers for 7/8 heims but i cant remember the width of them.

Some if the early wjs had ujoint shafts. I dont think they are any different than tj xj shafts other than they have tone rings on them.
